INITIATIVE OVERVIEW

PURPOSE AND MISSION

Importance of preserving Khalkha Jetsun Dampa's teachings and legacy

The 9th Jetsun Dampa Initiative aims to disseminate and preserve the Khalkha Jetsun Dampa's lineage teachings, ensuring their authentic transmission and safeguarding their sadhanas and melodies for future generations while preserving the historical memory and places associated with him.

Despite his remarkable contributions, Khalkha Jetsun Dampa's story remains relatively obscure to the world. His teachings, notably those of the Ganden and Machik Dakini Ear-Whispered lineages of Chod, are precious within the Gelug tradition, yet they lack widespread recognition. To bridge this gap, the 9th Jetsun Dampa Initiative has been established. This initiative is dedicated to spreading and safeguarding lineage teachings, ensuring their authentic transmission, and preserving their sadhanas and melodies for future generations.
